This month's electric safety tip is: When ensuring an electrical circuit or devise is safe to work on, use the "Live-dead-Live" testing method. For example, apply a testing devise to a known live source, then test the target circuit for power(should read no current), then test the known live source again. This will ensure an accurate test result that the intended work area is safe.
This month's review of Article 100's terms and definitions is:Outlet-A point on the wiring system at which current is taken to supply utilization equipment. Basically, any opening along an electrical circuit. A receptacle is the devise that goes into an outlet, still today many good electricians continue to confuse the terms.
